NOTICE AND DESCRIPTION OF SHELLFISH AREA CONDEMNATION
NUMBER 059-023, SKIFFES CREEK
EFFECTIVE 15 JANUARY 2026

1. The “Notice and Description of Shellfish Area Condemnation Number 059-023, Skiffes Creek,” effective 15 December 2008, is cancelled effective 15 January 2026.
2. Condemned Shellfish Area Number 059-023, shown as Section A, is established effective 15 January 2026. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to take shellfish from this area for any purpose, except by permit granted by the Marine Resources Commission, as provided in § 28.2-810 of the Code of Virginia. The boundaries of this area are shown on the map titled “Skiffes Creek, Condemned Shellfish Area Number 059-023, 15 January 2026” which is part of this notice.
3. Conditionally Approved Shellfish Area (Closed Status) Number 059-023, shown as Section M1, is hereby established effective 15 January 2026, and shall remain in force until rescinded. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to take shellfish from this area during such period for any purpose, except by permit granted by the Marine Resources Commission, as provided in § 28.2-810 of the Code of Virginia. The boundaries of this area are shown on the map titled “Skiffes Creek, Condemned Shellfish Area Number 059-023, 15 January 2026,” which is a part of this notice.
4. Conditionally Approved Shellfish Area (Open Status) Number 059-023, shown as Section M2, is hereby established effective 15 January 2026, and shall remain in force until rescinded. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to take shellfish from these areas during such period for any purpose while in the closed status, except by permit granted by the Marine Resources Commission, as provided in § 28.2-810 of the Code of Virginia. The boundaries of this area are shown on the map titled “Skiffes Creek, Condemned Shellfish Area Number 059-023, 15 January 2026,” which is a part of this notice.
5۔ محکمہ صحت اس حکم پر نظرثانی یا ترمیم کے سلسلے میں کسی بھی وقت کسی بھی دلچسپی رکھنے والے شخص کی طرف سے درخواستیں وصول کرے گا، ان پر غور کرے گا اور ان کا جواب دے گا۔
ممنوعہ علاقے نمبر 059-023کی حدود
A. The condemned area shall include that portion of the James River and all of Skiffes Creek and its tributaries upstream of a line drawn between latitude/longitude map coordinate (37°10'15.2",-76°36'46.6") and map coordinate (37°09'42.2",-76°36'51.8").
M1. The conditionally approved (closed status) area shall include that portion of Skiffes Creek inland and upstream of a line drawn between latitude / longitude map coordinate (37°10'11.1",-76°36'39.3") and map coordinate (37°09'52.0",-76°36'35.6"); as well as downstream of a second line drawn between map coordinate (37°10'18.5",-76°36'19.0") and map coordinate (37°10'25.4",-76°36'04.7"); as well as downstream of a third line drawn between map coordinate (37°10'19.2",-76°36'06.7") and map coordinate (37°10'22.5",-76°36'01.4"); and is shown as part of Section A.
M2. The conditionally approved area (open status) shall include that portion of the James River inland of a line drawn between latitude / longitude map coordinate (37°08'19.0",-76°37'25.9"), map coordinate (37°08'15.7",-76°37'29.7"), and map coordinate (37°08'12.8",-76°37'19.1"); but is shown only on the closure report.
