A third of US adults report that they usually get less than the recommended amount of sleep. Not getting enough sleep is linked with many chronic diseases and conditions\u2014such as type 2 diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and depression\u2014that threaten our nation\u2019s health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In Virginia, the cost of tobacco use is substantial.\u00a0 About 9,200 adults die each year from smoking, 1,600 non-smokers die each year due to second hand smoke, and 6,900 children have lost a parent to smoking related death.
