The t\"campgrounds\"erm campgrounds refers to, but is not limited to, tourist camps, travel trailer camps, recreation camps, family campgrounds, camping resorts, camping communities or any other area, place, parcel or tract of land, by whatever name called, on which three or more campsites are occupied or intended for occupancy, or facilities are established or maintained, wholly or in part, for the accommodation of camping sites for periods of overnight or longer, whether the use of the campsite and\/or facilities is granted gratuitously, by a rental fee, by lease, by conditional sale or by covenants, restrictions and easements.<\/p>\n

Campgrounds with three or more campsites intended for overnight accommodations for tents or RVs are required to obtain a health department permit.<\/p>\n

\"Temporary<\/p>\n

Temporary camping<\/strong>\u00a0is allowed for up to 14 days if the camping is for a short duration of time, like at a music festival or historical reenactment. The permit focuses on providing safe drinking water, sufficient sewage disposal, and effective vector control.<\/p>\n

New & Renovated Campgrounds<\/strong><\/p>\n

All new and renovated campgrounds must complete the\u00a0Application for a Campground Operation Permit\u00a0and submit along with a $40 annual permit fee.<\/span><\/p>\n

Renewal of Operations Permit<\/strong><\/p>\n

Owners of all operating campgrounds are required to complete the\u00a0Application for a Campground Operation Permit\u00a0along with a $40 fee to to the local EH office.\u00a0Permits will be issued to the owner.<\/p>\n
