They are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.<\/p>\n<p>The clinic will test clients for HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, &amp; Syphilis, and will help connect them with treatment locations if needed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What services does the STI program offer?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our sexually transmitted infection program offers confidential counseling, diagnosis, and treatment for sexually transmitted infections. Our program provides tests for the following STIs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chlamydia<\/li>\n<li>Syphilis<\/li>\n<li>Gonorrhea<\/li>\n<li>HIV<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other options for testing include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ourhmc.org\/\">Highland County Medical Center<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rockahc.org\/\">Rockbridge Area Health Center<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hburgchc.org\/\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW243581637 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW243581637 BCX8\">Healthy Community Health Center<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.harrisonburgfreeclinic.org\/\">Blue Ridge Free Clinic<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Any urgent care center<\/li>\n<li>Your primary care provider<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Signs and Symptoms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You may experience no symptoms at all or not realize you are experiencing symptoms.<\/p>\n<p>If you do experience symptoms, they may include, but are not limited to, abnormal discharge, pain during sex, burning during urination, blisters, sores, bumps, or warts on or around the genital area. You may also experience flu like symptoms.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><strong>Why Get Tested?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A person may not know that they are infected with an STI as many of these diseases do not show symptoms. If left untreated, some STIs can cause serious health problems such as infertility or even death (HIV\/AIDs).<\/p>\n<p>It is important to limit the number of sexual partners that you have and to always correctly and consistently use protection.
