A balanced diet that includes lean proteins, plenty of fruits and vegetables, and limits added sugars is beneficial for everyone. However, as we age\u2014especially after 65\u2014eating well can become more challenging.<\/p>\n<p>Medical conditions common in older adults, such as malnutrition, osteoporosis, and vitamin or iron deficiencies, can result in significant and unhealthy weight loss. Additionally, age-related changes in metabolism and digestion may lead to unintended weight fluctuations. As you age, lifestyle factors and personal circumstances can also make it harder to maintain healthy eating habits.<\/p>\n<p>This Care Partner Training will address these challenges and provide realistic options to help meet nutritional needs and maintain healthy eating habits for you and your loved ones!<\/p>\n<p><b>This class will be held both virtually and in-person in Fairfax. Please select your attendance type when you register.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The in-person session will be held in the Mazawey Education and Support Center, 3955 Pender Drive, Suite 100, Fairfax, VA 22030.<\/p>\n<p>Virtual attendees will receive Zoom information prior to the class.<\/p>\n<p>This program is a part of our monthly Care Partner Training series. It\u2019s where she met her husband, Aaron Ferguson, who is an integral part of Chefs for Seniors. Inspired by their love for cooking and caring for others, they launched Chefs for Seniors to serve their community.<\/p>\n<p>They are honored to offer balanced, healthy meals to seniors while living their value statement of doing well while doing good. Aaron\u2019s finance background and Liz\u2019s marketing acumen makes them a well-rounded team.
