At the end of each quarter, the Blue Ridge Health District will mail or email an invoice to permit holders, advising them to renew their existing permits. <strong>To avoid operating without a valid permit<\/strong>, the annual permit\u00a0must be renewed prior to the expiration date.<\/p>\n<p>Follow these steps to submit your renewal application:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>STEP 1:\u00a0 Complete the Annual Permit Application<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You will need to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/Fillable-AnnualPermitApp.Stationary-Foodservice-Facility-Mobile-or-Pushcart-Units-Caterer-Application-1-508c.pdf\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Annual Food Service Permit Application<\/span><\/span><\/a> and pay the $40 annual renewal fee.<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to include current mailing address so you can keep up with new information and for billing purposes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>STEP 2:\u00a0 Submit your completed Annual Permit Application<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scan it into your computer and email to your local health department where the facility is located or based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/content\/uploads\/sites\/196\/How-to-Contact-Us-1-1.docx\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; text-decoration: underline;\">Local health department contact information<\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 <\/a>You can then follow up by calling the locality where your operation is based to pay the $40 annual permit fee with a credit card; or<\/li>\n<li>You may also mail the permit to your locality office along with a check; or<\/li>\n<li>Submit the application and pay the fee directly at the locality office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prior to the expiration date noted on your VDH Permit to Operate a Foodservice Establishment\u00a0you will need to renew your permit every year.
